Skeihk Alin bin Khalid Al Thani wins thrilling Grand Prix of Al Rayyan

In Al Rayyan, Qatar, the CSI5* Grand Prix has just ended. This Grand Prix was ridden in  two rounds. After those two rounds, two riders were still in the running for the victory: Sheikh Alin bin Khalid Al Thani and Abdullah Waleed Alsharbatly. In that Grand Prix, only Sheikk Alin bin Khalid Al Thani could keep the zero on the score board. With the Holstein mare Carolina 31 (f. Colman) he jumped three clear rounds and that was enough for the victory. Abdullah Waleed Alsharbatly was faster in the jump-off, but his Domingo (f. Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) got one jumping penalty. He therefore had to take peace with the second place. The third place went to the young Turkish rider Derin Demirsoy. He and Harry K (f. Equest Carnute) got 4 penalties in the second round, but his fast time was enough for a place in the top three. Janika Sprunger and the KWPN stallion Aris CMS (f. BMC Nassau) ended on fourth place. Edwina Tops and California (f. L'Esprit) ended on fifth spot. Click here for all results
