After five amazing and sportive days in Mechelen, it was the Dutch rider Harrie Smolders who won the trophy for the Leading Rider of the 5* competition. With amazing results with his KWPN horse Zinius (f. Nabab de Reve) and his Don VHP Z (f. Diamant de Semilly), winning this trophy seemed inevitable. In the beginning of this weekn, he won the 1,40 m class with Zinius and the same day, he got a third place with Don VHP Z in the 1,50m class. With Zinius he also got placings in the 1,45m while he was placed ninth with Don VHP Z in the World Cup. In the 2* competition it was the young talented lady rider Chloe Vrancken who won the trophy of 'Leading Rider".
