Steve Guerdat kicks Helsinki off with a win in the Champions International

In Finland, Helsinki the World Cup competition will kick-off this weekend. However tonight the riders had to face a Champions International five star course over 1m45 against the clock. Fastest rider was for Switzerland Steve Guerdat aboard his Venard de Cerisy (by Open Up Semilly) with whom he crossed the finish line in 52.28 seconds. He stayed ahead of the German riders who followed in both second and third place. In second place it was Daniel Deusser and his Cornet d'Amour (by Cornet Obolensky) with whom he finished in 52.69 seconds. In third place it was then Philipp Weishaupt with his Solitaer (by Salito) in 53.04 seconds. Completing the top five we found in fourth place Jur Vrieling aboard the ten year old stallion Dallas VDL (by Douglas), followed by a fifth place for Maikel van der Vleuten keeping the Dutch riders in the race with his Arera C.     Results
