Stunning Rome debut for Longines Global Champions Tour

LGCT Press Release / Photo : LGCT / S Grasso The stunning debut of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Rome drew a chic crowd to the unique and beautiful venue in the ‘Eternal City’.   In the shadow of Italy’s Olympic Stadium the breathtaking arena surrounded by 59 classical marble statues set an elegant tone for the weekend of top-level sport. Longines Global Champions Tour events are always a lifestyle experience with destinations on the calendar including Miami Beach, Paris, Monaco, Shanghai and London and Rome is no exception.   Among the smart crowd in the VIP Hospitality Lounge overlooking the main competition arena was rock legend Bruce Springsteen and his wife Patti who watched with delight as their daughter Jessica jumped an impressive clear round in the main 1.50m CSI5* competition featuring the top ranked show jumpers in the world.   Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco was also among the young talent competing at the prestige event in the heart of the City. It was a smart society scene in the VIP as guests from around the world enjoyed typical Italian dining and watched the top-level sport from ringside seats.   The world class sport was free for the public to enjoy and will continue throughout the weekend at the Stadio dei Marmi.
