Thrilling victory for Martin Fuchs in World Cup Basel

The World Cup competition in Basel stayed in Swiss hands. It was the capable rider Martin Fuchs who ruled the day in this five star 1m60 Longines Rankings World Cup. Aboard the grey Clooney (by Cornet Obolensky) he completed in this three combination strong jump-off with 37.61 seconds.

With that time it was Fuchs who dived under the time of Dutch rider Marc Houtzager who took second place. Aboard the Dutch Warmblood Sterrehof's Calimero (by Quidam de Revel) he finished in second place with 38.84 seconds. Only the first two riders finished with a clear round, however Belgium's Pieter Devos was the fastest rider out of the three. He and his Apart (by Larino) finished with a brilliant time of 36.98 seconds but alas with 4 penalties. They took third place. Following in fourth place we found Italy's Lucia le Jeune Vizzini aboard Lora Piana Filou de Muze (by Stakkato).
