Unstoppable Maikel van der Vleuten in Madrid

In Madrid, the last day of an international CSI5* weekend has already started. This morning, the 5-star riders entered the show ring for a 1,45m class ridden against the clock. In this 'Coca Cola Throphy', 35 combinations entered the show ring and of those 25 combinations, Maikel van der Vleuten was the fastest. Yesterday he already won the 1,50m class, but today he saddled VDL Groep Quatro (f. Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) for the job. This combination jumped a clear round in 48,34 seconds. With this time he was a bit faster than the German rider David Will who ended on second place with Mic Mac Du Tillard (f. Cruising). This combination left the wood untouched and finished in 48,60 seconds. Marcus Ehning and the 10-year old Zangersheide mare Cristy (f. Canturo) completed the top three. Darragh Kenny and the 9-year old KWPN horse Charly Caplin S (f. Harley VDL) ended on fourth place. Gregory Wathelet and the stallion Eldorado van het Vijverhof (f. Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) took account of the fifth place. Click here for the results van-der-vleuten-quattro-madrid van-der-vleuten-quatro-madrid
