USA take gold team medal on home soil

On Friday night it was McLain Ward who tie the knot in the deciding Jump-off in the team medal finals of the FEI World Equestrian Games. After an exciting second round it came to a jump-off between the USA and Sweden. Almost all riders kept it clear in the jump-off. First to go in was Henrik von Eckermann aboard the 12-year-old Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro). The pair set the pase with a clear round. USA's Devin Ryan didn't seem to be impressed and kept it clear as well with the VDL Zirocco-Blue-son, Eddie Blue. Sweden's Malin Baryard-Johnsson followed with her impressive BWP-mare, H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof). The pair jumped the last rail down. Also Adrienne Sternlicht and Cristalline (Cristallo 1) made one jumping fault. For Sweden Frederik Jönsson (Cold Play, Contendro I) and Peder Fredricson (H&M Christian K) followed with a clear ride as well as USA's Laura Kraut (Zeremonie) and McLain Ward (Clinta). The last were extremely fast securing the gold for the USA. Sweden followed with Silver before Germany. Results
