Vincent Geerink takes the first win at "Jumping de Achterhoek"

At Lichtervoord the international show jumping week has officially kicked-off with a home win. In the U25 1.35m clas it was Vincent Geerink and the 12-year-old Torino (by Indoctro) who jumped to victory. The pair finished clear in 27.60 seconds. Almost three seconds faster as runner-up Maarten Driessen with Happy Girl (by Nonstop). Germany's Julia Schacht and Falcon Crest 2 (by Fürst Piccolo) finished third. They were followed by a Dutch platoon of 4 horse-rider combinations. In the lead was Jens van Grunsven with Dutchblue. A clear round in 33.43 seconds made them finish fourth. Comaptriots Kim Bril (Denderose), Kim Hoogenraat (Contessa) and Lisa Everts (Bisquit) followed in fifth, sixth and seventh position. Only this top seven finished clear in the jump-off.
