At the grand opening of Ludger Beerbaum's new international riding center in Riesenbeck (Germany) it was home-rider Henrik von Eckermann and Crespo PKZ (by Cornet Obolensky) who claimed victory at the international jumping class. Finishing the 1.50m course in 40.35 seconds the pair left Philip Rüping and Carlsson (by Carpalo) in a second spot. Patrick Stühlmeyer and Canturado (by Canturo) finished third. The top five was completed by world star-riders Marcus Ehning (Cornado NRW) and Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat (Calmando). The opening -program had the international show jumping on the schedule as well as a stallion show. Fun fact, Guerdat took a private trip to Germany for this opening as he is currently competing in Arezzo, Italy.
