Werner Muff races to home victory in Speed class Sankt Gallen

Tonight, the last class in Sankt Gallen was the Speed & Handiness class over 1,50m-high fences that also counted for the Longines ranking. It was home rider Werner Muff who piloted ten-year-old Oldenburger Cosby (Contendro I) to a fast finish in 85,03 seconds. Britain's William Whitaker and Fandango (Last Liberty) needed half a second more and took the silver place. Olivier Robert and Vivaldi des Meneaux (Chippendale Z) defended the French and finished third in 86,45 seconds. The Swiss flag also waved on the fourth place. Edwin Smits and fourteen-year-old Dandiego B Z (Dutch Capitol) went clear in 87,39 seconds, half a second faster than Hans-Dieter Dreher and Tiopepe des Champs (Ogrion des Champs) for Germany.
