A total of 85,000 euro was to be divided in the second but last course of the day at the Longines Los Angeles Masters. Many combinations qualified for the jump-off, however few succeeded to complete it faultless. Great-Britain's John Whitaker amazed the crowd, beating Edwina Tops Alexander's time. Edwina and Lintea Tequila came in setting a fast, faultless round in 32.58 seconds. However John Whitaker and his famous Argento did better finishing in 31.99 seconds. Some short turns did the trick for the British pair. Third place was for Stephex-rider, Daniel Deusser aboard Toulago. With his victory Whitaker took home over 28,000 Euro. The top five was completed by two USA pairs. Home-rider, Rich Fellers and his long-trusted companion, Flexible, made it fourth. Fifth place was for Georgina Bloomberg and Washington Square.
