Aboard his 10-year-old KWPN-gelding, Bugatti (Heartbreaker x Pilot) he repeated his victory of 2015. The pair crossed the finish clear in 37,661 seconds, leaving the other seven jump-off riders behind. Great-Britain's, Jessica Mendoza placed second with her Belgian Warmblood horse toy Boy. Mendoza stopped the clock in 39,029 seconds. She was followed by Andrew Welles. Welles guided his 15-year-old Belgian Warmblood-mare Bo van het Kastanjehof (by Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) to a clear round in 39,813 seconds, placing third. Jefferey Welles followed in a fourth place with the KWPN-gelding, Broken Heart (by Concorde). The top five was completed by Leslie Howard with Up and Blue Chapelle. Emanuel Andrade and his new ride, Inne Van de Plataan made a successful debute placing sixth. The Zurich-mare jumped one rail down in 42,056 seconds.
