Will Simpson on top at Thunderbird showpark

Last weekend the Tbird show ground park welcomed the West-American and Canadian show jumping crowd. Under a bright shining sun it was California's Will Simpson who took away the prizes. Aboard E-Unanime de La Haie Simpson speeded to victory in the $25,000 Facet Advisors Cup. Together with his trusted "The Dude", Simpson also finished third in this class. Only Chris Surbey and Quetchup de la Roque prevented Will Simpson from following himself on stage. The top five was completed by Nikolaj Hein Ruus (Cayetana) and Kasey Ament (Zuidhoeve). Earlier in the week, Simpson already claimed victory in the $10,000 opening 1.40m class. That time with The dude. Washington's Jill Blunt and Udam finished second and were followed by LA's Tiffany Sullivan aboard Christian Grey. The Tbird Open Jumper series started at .75m and were built up to 1.40m. Together with Outlander Mia Burlington took home the .75m win. Briehl Rissanen (Herman) and Angela Hale (Lordonlynose) finished first in the .85m and .95m. Ray Texel tacked up Case for her victory in the 1.00m Open Jumper class, while Ashley McKissock took the win in the 1.10m class. Kathleen Butler and Tristan were first and followed by Paige Alvord (Rainland WH Luxury) in the 1.15m Open Jumper Classic, giving California yet again another victory. In the 1.20m Open Jumper Washington's Jill Blunt had to be satisfied with the runner-up again. Together with Shannondale she followed Canda's Kirsten Rodel who took the win with Shiraz. Edmonton's Shauna Cook and Caousel's Bling returned home wit the win in the 1.25m while Hannah Heidegger (Di Caprio RV) shined in the 1.30m Open Jumper. Heidegger also took the win in the 1.35m class.
