Yazmin Davis storms to victory in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunterat Wales and West Show

The host venue for yesterday’s Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round was Wales and West Show in Chepstow and it was Yazmin Davis who stormed to victory. Fifty-eight horse and rider combinations came forward to contest for the two direct qualifying tickets on offer for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show in October. Following two nail biting rounds just thirteen talented competitors were left to fight it out in the final jump off and their sights were firmly set on achieving a treble clear against the all-important clock. Yazmin Davis made the journey from Blandford Forum in Dorset with Alison Davis’ 8 year-old bay gelding, Zanbowa Z worthwhile as they stormed straight to the top of the leader board. This pair produced three consistent clear rounds, delivering their final clear in a time of 43.20 seconds. Jamie Wingrove from Leamington Spa, Warwickshire jumped in to second place on board Heartstring, a 7 year-old bay mare owned by Weston Lawns Stud. This partnership also jumped a treble clear, crossing the finish line in 44.05 seconds. With the top two taking the direct qualifying tickets for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final, the combinations in third to fifth took home the chance to compete at the British Showjumping National Championships.
