Westphalians jumping youngsters and broodmares in high demand at Westphalian online auction

18 two-year-olds and nine broodmares in foal with a jumping pedigree were up for sale this evening at the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch. 81 percent of these changed hands. In total, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch turned over 221,500 Euros. The most popular youngster was a son of Dakar VDL/Hors la Loi II, who was worth 23,000 euros to his new owners. A daughter of Cornet Obolensky was the most expensive broodmare with a hammer price of 10,000 Euros.


The spectators at the screens did not have to wait long for the most expensive youngster this evening. Right away with the head number 1 Patrick advanced to the top of the price list. The son of Dakar VDL/Hors la Loi II (breeder: G. Popken, Netherlands; exhibitor: Daniela Brink, Neuenkirchen) aroused international interest. The talented gray stallion will start his journey to Australia for the hammer price of 23,000 Euros.

Also breaking the 20,000 euro mark was the Diaron/Chacco Blue son with the head number 8. Dia Chacco (breeder: Markus Hillemeier, Delbrück; exhibitor: PFERD24 GmbH, Lienen) descents from a highly successful dam line that has already produced the successful show jumper Domenco, who started for Belgium at the CSI4* competitions. After an exciting bidding duel between Great Britain and the Ukraine, he changed to Ukrainian ownership at the hammer price of 20,000 Euros. With a total turnover of the 16 youngsters sold of 177,250 Euros, the internationally interested clientele invested an average of 11,078 Euros in their future show-jumping aspirant. Half of the sold horses will start their careers outside of Germany.

 

Nine broodmares completed the lot of this online auction. In foal to successful sires, they all expect a foal for 2023. Cornetta (breeder: Heinz-Josef Beermann, Ladbergen; exhibitor: Annette Beermann, Ladbergen) with the head number 20 aroused the highest desires with a hammer price of 10,000 Euros. The four-year-old gray mare by Cornet Obolensky/Stakkato is in foal to Meganus PS for 2023. Of the broodmares on offer, six changed hands. Four of these will give birth to their foals next year abroad. With an average hammer price of 7,375 euros, they generated a total turnover of 44,250 euros.

 

For dressage horse fans, it will get exciting in a week's time. In another online auction, 29 two-year-old dressage riding horses and four pregnant broodmares will be up for sale. Bids on the highly interesting lot can be submitted from November 10 to 14. Photos and videos of the horses on offer can already be viewed online at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de.
