Blair Castle International Horse Trials comes to a close on the third day with the CCI2* cross country with another full days competition tomorrow. After a wonderful day of sport at Blair Castle International Horse Trials the cross country day ended with the CCI2* cross country competition. 39 horse and rider combinations took on the cross country track which was designed by top international rider, now turned Course Designer, Ian Stark OBE. Emily Parker (GBR), riding Diamond Sundance, rode a cracking round to finish on her dressage score. Matthew Wright (GBR), on Hugginstown, finished in 2nd place with Sarah Parkes (GBR), riding Balladeer Durban Hills in 3rd. Overnight leader after dressage, Hayley Wright (GBR), riding In the Darco, finished 4th with 3.6 time penalties. The course rode beautifully and with the hilly terrain at Blair Castle horses needed to be fit and able to cross the country, the questions asked were true 2* questions. The veterinary inspection starts at 8.30am followed by the CCI1*, CCI2* and CCI3* showjumping in the Equi-Trek Main Arena. Tomorrow also has showing classes in the Tummel Arena with the Ex Racers, ROR, Side Saddle, Ridden Clydesdale and Veteran Horse Showing classes.
