Together with the Belgian bred H5 Nostalgie (Emerald, breeder: Jos Scheelen), Carlos Hank Guerreiro jumped to victory in today's 1.50m CSIO5* Grand Prix qualifier in Sankt-Gallen. The first qualifier for the Longines Grand Prix saw 54 horse-rider combinaties lined up.
Swiss course builder, Gerard Lachat set a challenging course. Aboard his 12-year-old H5 Nostalgie (Emerald) Mexico's Carlos Hank Guerreiro, jumped to victory!
With a clear round in a time of 64.21 seconds, the duo secured first place, finishing over a second ahead of German rider Sophie Hinners. Hinners claimed second place with a time of 65.03 seconds aboard the eleven-year-old Nuraya 3 (Nurjev). Finally, Katharina Rhomberg completed the stage aboard her thirteen-year-old Cuma 5 (Comme Il Faut 5).
Just outside the stage, both Denis Lynch and Robin Muhr delivered clear rounds. Lynch finished fourth riding Vistogrand (Fantaland), while Muhr completed the top five with the fourteen-year-old Galaxy HM (Quality Time TN).
