Jur Vrieling shared on his Instagram that his former champion Bubalu VDL (Baloubet du Rouet) has retired at his stable. The 25-year-old KWPN stallion has traveled the world with Vrieling, and the duo achieved impressive results, including a first place in the Nations Cup in Barcelona in 2014.
"My heart is so full to have Bubalu VDL back in my stables for his retirement. Now I can spend time again with my champion, my best friend and partner!" Vrieling shared on his Instagram.
The pair, who also took first place with the team at the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games in Caen, earned numerous top-ten finishes in other CSI5* competitions. And as the icing on the cake, the duo even competed together at the 2012 Olympic Games!
