Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Alsharbatly has been handed a one-month suspension following two Jumping Recorded Warnings within a 12-month period. His suspension began on August 31 and runs through September 30.
The disciplinary action follows recent updates to the sport's regulations. Article 259, which governs Jumping Recorded Warnings, was introduced as part of a broader overhaul of the FEI Jumping Rules approved at the 2025 FEI General Assembly and implemented in January 2026.
Under Article 259.1, any horse blood caused by tack, equipment, or rider action between warm-up and post-competition testing triggers a warning from the President of the Ground Jury.

Two Warnings Within 12 Months: Automatic CHF 1,000 fine and a one-month suspension, effective the day immediately following the end of the event where the second warning occurred.
According to the FEI, official notification timelines do not delay or alter the fixed start date of the suspension period.
