No fewer than 16 combinations qualified for the jump-off of the 1.55m CSI4* Grand Prix in Doha. In a thrilling round where one record time after another was shattered, Gerfried Puck ultimately claimed victory with his BWP stallion, Equitron Naxcel V (breeder: Leo Vermeiren). The duo finished just one-tenth of a second ahead of Belgium’s Abdel Saïd!

Puck and the 12-year-old son of Balou du Rouet, owned by Katrin Pfingstl and Syndikat Naxcel V, jumped to victory, earning over €40,000 in prize money. Abdel Saïd, riding Arpege du Ru (Apache d’Adriers), had previously placed second in the main event. This time, the Egyptian rider representing Belgium had to settle for second place again.

Saïd and the daughter of Apache d’Adriers pushed Ellen Whitaker (GBR) and Korlenski (Cornet Obolensky) into third place.

The duo was followed by Abdulrahman Alrajhi (KSA) with Ventago (Van Helsing), while Scott Brash (GBR) with Hello Valentino (Diamantino) took fifth place.
