After a Jump-Off with 13 horse-rider combinations it was Dutch showjumper, Harrie Smolders, who jumped to the win in today's 1.50m CSI4* Grand Prix Qualifier in Arezzo. Smolders and his Belgian Warmblood Gelding, Mr. Tac (breeder: Edmond Meyers) set the unbeatable time of 40,07 seconds.
Smolders and the 13-year-old son by Non Stop were just 0,05 seconds faster as Great-Britain's Jack Whitaker aboard SF-sire, Valmy de la Lande (Mylord Carthago*Hn). With over one second difference, Germany's Jens Baackmann completed the stage.
Baackmann finished third aboard Zealand 3 (Zinedine). The pair was followed by compatriot, Harm Lahde and his 12-year-old stallion, Oak Grove's Commander Bond (Comme Il Faut).
Together with Cavoiro-H Old (Casallco), Belgium's Roy van Beek completed the top five of this main class.
