The first class of the week in Geneva was immediately very exciting. 89 pairs lined up at the start of the CSI5* 1.40m class against the clock. But only 40 of those 89 competitors managed to complete a clear round.
The victory went to Great Britain thanks to Jessica Mendoza. The British rider chose I-Cap CL Z (I'm Special de Muze) as her partner. Brazilian Stephan de Freitas Barcha counted on Chevaux Hex Lup Imperio (Jalisco B) to take home the silver, while Sophie Hinners jumped to third place for Germany. Hinners brought Call Me Jabri (Call Me Pezi) to Geneva for the class.
Nathan Budd finished just off the podium for Belgium. Budd saddled Ely des Rosiers Z (Emerald) to ultimately finish in fourth place. The top five was rounded off by Switzerland's Barbara Schnieper. She relied on the skills of Inook (Verdi TN) to complete a clear round over the 1.40m high obstacles.
