Girlpower dominated the results today in Geneva as USA's Olivia Sweetnam jumped to the win in the U25 1.45m class. Later, Jessica Mendoza was unbeatable with In the Air in the 1.55m Prix des Communes Genevoises.
Jessica Mendoza jumped to victory with the KWPN mare In The Air (sire: Air Jordan). Riding the mare bred by C. Den Boer, Mendoza sped to the win in 67.83 seconds.
The British rider finished just ahead of Piergiorgio Bucci and the 13-year-old KWPN gelding Hantano (sire: Quasimodo Z, breeder: N.G.M. Saantvort). In the saddle of the SF gelding Genghis Khan (sire: Kannan), Cian O'Connor completed the top three.
O'Connor managed to dive five-hundredths of a second under the time of Gilles Thomas. Thomas finished in fourth place with the 10-year-old Chuck Marienshof Z (sire: Colestus). The top five was rounded out by Kevin Staut and the nine-year-old mare Vida Loca Z (sire: Vigo d'Arsouilles).
Olivia Sweetnam wins U25
Earlier, the American rider Olivia Sweetnam jumped to victory in the 1.45m U25 class. Together with the 10-year-old AES gelding Epic (sire: Billy Mexico), the rider dove nearly two seconds under the time of Charles Rulquin and Elina de Grandry (sire: Qlassic Bois Margot). In front of a home crowd, Gilles Müller completed the top three with the 14-year-old KWPN mare Giavanna Cb (sire: Ukato).
