The final day of the international competition in Rouen has arrived, and the highlight of the CSI4* week has just come to an end. Fifty competitors took their chance at eternal fame over the 1.55m high obstacles of the Grand Prix. Twelve combinations made it into the jump-off, and in the end only the top four remained faultless.
Gold and silver went to host country France thanks to Mathieu Billot and Nicolas Layec. Billot was by far the fastest in the saddle of the Zangersheide mare Cosacara Z (Cornet Obolensky). Layec relied on Fee de Caryan (Vigo d'Arsouilles) to secure second place.
Robert Murphy and Hulde G (Vigo d'Arsouilles) completed the podium in third place. Jordy Van Massenhove saddled Verdiamo Z (Verdi TN) to conquer the 1.55m high obstacles and finished in fourth place.
Sanne Thijssen set the fastest time in the second round but unfortunately had one pole come down with Cupcake Z (Chacco-Blue) and finished in fifth place.
