A technical course, a captivated audience

Before full stands, the best international riders took on a course designed by Cédric Longis. Square, airy, and demanding, it required as much finesse as reactivity. “The idea was to provide an accessible warm-up that forced the riders to gallop and really feel their horse,” explained the course designer. Mission accomplished: suspense lasted until the end, and the Moroccan public, knowledgeable and warm, thrilled at every round.

Ramzy Al Duhami, experience at the service of speed

Earlier in the day he had finished fifth with High Quality J, but Ramzy Al Duhami showed he had come to Morocco with clear ambitions. Riding Untouchable 32, the mare with whom he had already shone at the Olympic Games, he delivered a flawless, breathtaking round.
Final time: 65.20 seconds. Enough to hold off the chasing pack. “We had prepared a plan, and everything flowed perfectly,” he said with a smile. “Untouchable 32 is not the fastest, but she has improved enormously. She loves big occasions, and I hope she will confirm this form in Sunday’s Grand Prix.”

A podium decided by fractions

If the Saudi claimed victory, it was by a narrow margin. Italian Emanuele Gaudiano, a true specialist in timed rounds, missed out by just 14 hundredths with Crack Balou (65.34 s). Frenchman Alix Ragot, in excellent form with Qh Sole Mio Santo Antonio, completed the podium in 65.85 s after a smooth and inspired round.

Toward an explosive Grand Prix

This first major event of the Morocco Royal Tour lived up to all expectations: an enthusiastic crowd, a demanding course, and a podium that reflects the depth of the international field. On Sunday, the Grand Prix promises to be an exceptional duel of speed, power, and mastery. Ramzy Al Duhami will be the man to beat… but the competition is sharp and determined to shake Tetouan’s Royal Guard.
