The CSIO4* 1.40m Against the Clock in Avenches became a highlight for Belgium. With eighty participants, the bar was set high, but it was Mathieu Bourdeaud’Hui who made the difference with Quint vd Bisschop.
With a flawless round in 60.99 seconds, Mathieu Bourdeaud’Hui seized the win. His Quint vd Bisschop (Heavy Metal), bred at Stal Den Bisschop, once again demonstrated his speed and reliability.
France’s Marie Demonte followed with Give me One Reason DK (By Cera d'Ick) to claim second place in 62.40 seconds. The podium turned Belgian once again for third place, as Leonie Peeters guided Maquinn vd Heffinck (Quinn van de Heffinck) to bronze with a time of 62.82 seconds.
Just off the podium was Switzerland’s Riana Aebersold with Silver Shine (Balou du Rouet (OLD)), finishing in 62.83 seconds—only one hundredth behind Peeters. The top five was completed by fellow Swiss rider Pius Schwizer, who kept Kansas VDL (Arezzo VDL) clear in 63.12 seconds.
