Earlier this week, Kim Emmen and her trusted KWPN gelding, Imagine N.O.P. (Cassini GOLD, breeder: Conny Viscaal), already won the Longines Grand Prix of Basel. For a moment, it seemed the Dutch rider and her 13-year-old gelding were on their way to victory once again. However, as the second to last to go, Richard Vogel ultimately dipped below the duo's time.

Richard Vogel and his European Championship gold-medal horse, United Touch S (Untouched, breeder: J-P. Sinnack), finished clear in 40.12 seconds. The duo thus pushed Kim Emmen into second place, who clocked a time of 41.55 seconds. In the saddle of the 14-year-old gelding Equine America Harwich VDL (Arezzo VDL), Johan Sebastian Gulliksen completed the top three.

Only this top three managed to complete the jump-off without faults. With one rail down, Martin Fuchs and L&L Lorde (Clyde LVB Z) finished just outside the top three. French show jumper Julien Epaillard completed the top five in the saddle of the 13-year-old SF gelding, Donatello d'Auge (Jarnac).
