The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping brings together four of the sport’s most prestigious Majors: The Dutch Masters, TSCHIO Aachen, the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament and CHI Geneva. The concept rewards consistency, precision and the ability to perform under pressure on the biggest stages in show jumping.

To complete the Rolex Grand Slam, a rider must win three consecutive Majors. Although the series consists of four events, winning all four is not required. A fourth consecutive Major victory does, however, come with an additional €1 million bonus.

Vogel began his current winning streak in March with victory in the Rolex Grand Prix at The Dutch Masters. He then travelled to Aachen as the Rolex Grand Slam live contender and delivered once again. In front of a packed home crowd, Vogel and United Touch S produced a superb performance to claim another Rolex Grand Prix victory.

The Aachen result was Vogel’s second consecutive Major win and moved him one step closer to completing the Rolex Grand Slam. Should he win the CPKC ‘International’ Grand Prix, presented by Rolex, at Spruce Meadows, he will become only the second rider in history to achieve the feat and will receive the €1 million bonus. If he does not win in Calgary, his two consecutive Major victories will still earn him a €500,000 bonus.

The only rider to have completed the Rolex Grand Slam so far is Great Britain’s Scott Brash. In 2015, Brash and Hello Sanctos won three consecutive Majors at CHI Geneva, CHIO Aachen and the CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’ Tournament. It was in Spruce Meadows that Brash completed the historic achievement.

Vogel is no stranger to the International Ring either. At the 2025 Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’, he won the CSIO5* 1.55m Cardel Homes Cup with Phenyo van het Keysersbos, before taking the CSIO5* 1.60m CANA Cup with Cloudio. That victory was his third consecutive win in the class, underlining his strong record in Calgary.

The International Ring at Spruce Meadows is regarded as one of the most demanding venues in show jumping. Its enormous dimensions, technical courses and unique atmosphere demand courage, precision and complete trust between horse and rider. With fences reaching up to 1.70 metres high and more than 4.5 metres in length, there is little room for error.

For Vogel, however, the venue appears to suit his current partner particularly well. United Touch S has already proven capable of performing on the biggest stages, and Vogel will now rely on their partnership as he looks to complete the final step of his Grand Slam journey.

The stage is set, the history is within reach, and Vogel will arrive in Calgary knowing exactly what is at stake. A victory in the CPKC ‘International’ Grand Prix, presented by Rolex, would put his name alongside Scott Brash’s as only the second rider ever to complete the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping.
