Dartagnan achieved impressive results in eventing at a young age: he won the final of the Cyclus Classique of the Société Hippique Française (SHF) as a four- and six-year-old, and claimed silver at age five and again at the World Championships for six-year-olds. After a break due to injury, he switched to show jumping in 2022. Since then, his most notable achievement has been a second-place finish in a Pro 1 Grand Prix at 1.45 m in Corné in 2023. In 2024, the stallion, born in 2013, also earned several placings at 1.40 m and 1.45 m at competitions in Yvré-l’Évêque, Pernay, Nouans-les-Fontaines, and Le Pin-au-Haras.

He now joins the stables of Marie Demonte, where Forban de Béliard—another offspring of breeder Gérard Brescon—also resides. Forban recently finished twelfth in the 1.55 m Grand Prix at the CSIO 3* in Lier.
