Ludo Philippaerts & Stanny Van Paesschen: "Great the Nations Cup format changes... but what will happen with the remaining beautiful CSIO events?"

In a first face to face meeting the FEI has approved the new rules for the first 2024 League of Nations. With it it also approved the renewal of the Longines Nations Cup format, upgrading the prize money. "It's about time," reacts Ludo Philippaerts about the money upgrade. "We go from 250.000 euro to 700.000 euro. That's a good cause, because in the end the Nations Cup competitions are still the most beautiful competitions there are, but they can't compete in the modern rivalry between the Nations Cup series, Rolex Grand Slams and for example LGCT. I do hope with this upgrade the format may continue to exist..."
