Earlier, it was announced that Kent Farrington's loyal Landon (formerly Crack de Nyze Z) had left the stables of the American show jumper. Now, the American rider can count on a new talent: Laurent Goffinet’s former mount, Gary de Brekka (Cornet Obolensky x Quaprice Bois Margot).
The nine-year-old son of Cornet Obolensky was bred by Pierre and Marie-Ange Le Boulanger. Together with Mathieu Billot and Gérald Brault, Gary made his debut at the international level. In April 2023, Laurent Goffinet took over the reins of the gelding.
The duo competed up to the 1.50m level. "Kent came to try the horse in Normandy," Goffinet told Grand Prix. "I'm glad that I was given the time by the owners to properly develop Gary. We didn’t compete excessively, but his quality, character, and ability clearly convinced Kent."
