The Gothenburg Horse Show will say goodbye to not one but two horses. The in 2021 retired Toveks Mary Lou, known under Henrik von Eckermann, will get her well-deserved last applause there just as H&M All In will undoubtedly get his as well.
After von Eckermann's top horse Toveks Mary Lou (by Montendro) was forced to stop in 2019 due to an injury in Geneva, the mare retried in 2021 but a return to the sport didn't work out for her. In June 2021 it was decided to send the mare into sporting retirement. However, she is still being actively used for breeding.
Her farewell was planned for the Gothenburg Horse Show but due to the Covid pandemic it was pushed back to this year's event. On Feb. 26, she will appear in the arena for one last time.
But Toveks Mary Lou is not the only one who may greet the public one last time, the curtain also falls for H&M All In (by Kashmir van Schuttershof) during the Swedish event. The gelding will get his farewell on Thursday, Feb. 23.
