WEG-horse, Billy Buckingham passed away

William Funnell has announced his 12-year-old trusted AES-gelding, Billly Buckingham has passed away. The son of Billy Congo was euthanized after a life-ending fracture to his fetlock joint yesterday.

"We are all devastated to lose a horse we have watched develop from a foal bred by Donal Barnwell to the star he became. Buckingham took William to his first World Championships in Tryon & jumped on numerous Nations Cup teams for Great Britain and gave us a very special day in 2018 when he won the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby. He also gave Lucy & Pippa many memorable happy days competing over the last decade and he always had Zoe by his side for his greatest moments"
