Yesterday we wrote that the Dutch rider Peter Bulthuis got a fine from the FEI because of animal abuse. Now he reacts to this penalty: "I don't understand it at all. I don't get why the FEI gave me that fine and I'm not going to pay it", Bulthuis says. "This story isn't true and I have seven witnesses who can confirm my story", he adds. The Italian owners of VF Corrado started a case against Bulthuis because the stallion showed signs of abuse when he came home. Corrado would have obtained his injuries because Bulthuis treated the horse in a 'cruel and violent way'. Bulthuis himself always denied the story and he states that the stallion got these injuries because he jumped on the pony of Bulthuis' son. "This story of course isn't publicity, but I'm not worried at all. I know I didn't do anything wrong. Everyone who knows me, knows this story is baloney".
