Irish record set as Dougie Douglas sells for €1.4 million

Dougie Douglas was without a doubt the favorite of last nights Goresbridge Supreme Sale of Showjumpers. The jumper didn't disappoint. Dougie Douglas (Ard VDL Douglas x High Roller) sold for no less than €1.4 million during the auction in Co Wexford, Ireland - setting a new Irish record auction price according to The Irish Field. Irish agent Barry O’Connor secured the 10-year-old Irish bred gelding for an American client, who now will take over the ride on the horse that under British rider Holly Gillott won Nations Cups in Odense (2014) and Rome (2015) as well as the CSI3* Grand Prix in Odense in 2014.
