In Valencia, two classes were already completed in anticipation of the Grand Prix, which will be ridden later today. In the final for 7-year-old horses rode Rodrigo Bass to victory. The best Belgian performance came from Simon Morssinkhof. He rode Dynamite vh Legitahof Z (by Diamant de Semilly) clear in 42.21 seconds.
Charlotte Spaas Levallois (Jivollette van Beek) and Bertrand Genin (Obolenky d'Arsouilles) completed the top five.
CSI2* 1m40
In the 1m40 of the CSI2* competition there were two phases to be jumped. The victory went to the Irishman Shane Carey. He rode Contenance 15 (by Chap 47) clear in 34.01 seconds. Alexa Stais and Cera (by Chap 47) came second. They also left all the fences behind and finished in 34.13 seconds. Bart Jay Junior Vandecastelle and Esprit de l'Esprit Z (by Elvis Ter Putte) took home third place. They jumped a clear round and stopped the chrono after 34.97 seconds.
Selma Hammerström (Gertje vh Scheefkasteel) and Benedikte Rie Truelsen (Althea Nova Ask) completed the top five.
