Bauman takes surprise victory in CSI3* Grand Prix of Vilamoura

In Vilamoura the Grand Prix of the CSI3* competition was jumped just now and it had a surprising winner. Slovenian Urh Bauman, riding the Holstein gelding Larisal (by Larimar 7), was the only one to jump a double clear round. His time of 36.73 was also the fastest of only four jump-off candidates. 

Second place was for the Irishman Michael Pender. Riding Hhs Calais (by Cavalier Royale), he was able to stop the clock at 37.02 seconds, but in doing so knocked out one bar. Alexa Ferrer with Encantado C'SG (by Verdi TN) completed the podium. 

Felipe Ramos Guinato (Bigstar) and Joanna Parkinson (Chacolu) completed the top five in places four and five. Parkinson was able to keep the zero in the basic course but got one point for time behind her name.
