Dermott Lennon and Athletix Hero Z claim victory in first CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour

At the Sunshine Tour, the fight for victory was on in the CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour main class, ridden against the clock. Ultimately, it was an Irish victory in this first CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour class at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour. The former World Champion Dermott Lennon and his 10-year-old gelding delivered a clear and very fast round in the beautiful grass arena, over a course designed by Elio Travagliatti.

Dermott Lennon rode to victory for Ireland in the saddle of Athletix Hero Z (by Aganix du Seigneur). The duo recorded the best time of 60.67 seconds. With this, they were too fast for Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Full Option van't Zand (by Flamingo K). They rode to second place in 62.24 seconds. The podium was completed by the Belgian tricolor with Gilles Thomas with a third place. He could count on the eleven-year-old BWP mare Luna van het Dennehof (by Prince van de Wolfsakker) to set a time of 62.44 seconds.

Gudrun Patteet and Kendra Claricia Brinkop took care of the necessary girlpower and finished fourth. Belgian rider Patteet (Sea Coast Pebbles Z) came in fourth place. Stephex rider Kendra Claricia Brinkop (Malissa de Muze) claimed fifth place.
