Harrie Smolders wins 'Prize Eurohorse' in Lier


The main number of the day has just been jumped in Lier: a 1m40 of the CSI2 * competition. Of the 82 participating combinations, 18 could jump a clear round. A jump-off with 18 had to decide on a win and a loss.

The win went to the Dutch top rider Harrie Smolders. He was able to jump a clear round with Escape Z (by Emerald) and finished in 29.21 seconds. With this time he remained another top rider; Daniel Deusser for this. In the saddle of the BWP mare Kiana van't Herdershof (v. Toulon) he rode clear to the finish in 29.71 seconds. This earned him second place. Norwegian rider Victoria Gulliksen completed the top three. She could jump a clear round in the saddle of David Guetta (by Zento) and finished in 30.03 seconds.

Jeroen Appelen became the best Belgian in fourth place. He could jump a clear round with Sina (by Spiderman) and stopped the chrono after 30.10 seconds. Robinson Maupiler and Zandor Alpha Z (by Zeus) completed the top five.
