Howley ahead of Whitaker in Grand Prix Oliva


In Oliva, the highlight of a busy international weekend has just been jumped: the Grand Prix of the GOLD competition. 83 Participants took part, ten of them could keep the zero in the basic course. A jump-off with ten had to decide the winner.

That winner was Irish rider Richard Howley. He rode Arlo de Blondel (by Tlaloc M) clear in 35.58 seconds. John Whitaker followed in second place. He was able to jump a clear round with the Selle Français gelding Unick du Francport (by Zandor) and finished in 37.47 seconds. Koen Vereecke and Kasanova de La Pomme (by Bamako de Muze) completed the top three after a great clear round in 37.66 seconds.

Marc Bettinger (Undercover Z) and Edwin Smits (Farezzo) completed the top five.
