Olivier Philippaerts speeds to the victory in CSI5* featured class Doha

In Doha the main event of the day was jumped just now: a 1m55 class in which was jumped directly against the clock. There could be only one winner and that winner turned out to be the Belgian rider Olivier Philippaerts.

Olivier Philippaerts was the fastest. He rode a clear round in the saddle of the 15-year-old H&M Legend of Love (by Landzauber) and finished in 60.61 seconds. This put him ahead of Britain's Scott Brash who finished in second place with Hello Vincent (by Consul DI Vie Z); the Zangersheide stallion did not come close to the wood and clocked off in 60.85 seconds. Philipp Weishaupt and Coby 8 (by Contagio) took home third place after a clear round in 61.07 seconds.

Pieter Devos (Jade vd Bisschop) and Olivier Robert (Vivaldi des Meneaux) followed in places four and five.
