Ruben Romp on top in CSI2* Grand Prix of Sentower Park


Sentower Park just saw the highlight of a busy international weekend: the CSI2 * Grand Prix. 46 Participants competed in this Grand Prix and seven of them were able to keep the zero in the basic course. A jump-off with seven had to decide the winner.

That winner was the Dutchman Ruben Romp. He had to start last in the Grand Prix and managed to adjust the time of Soren Pedersen, who had been in the lead until then, by almost a second. He finished with Bugatty GO (by Concorde) in a time of 38.46 seconds. Soren Pedersen had to settle for second place with Chico Z (by Clinton 1). They were able to keep the zero and finished in 39.29 seconds. Wilma Hellström and Cicci Bjn (by Ci Ci Senjor Ask) completed the top three after a clear round in 41.88 seconds.

Only the top three could keep the zero. Marcus Ehning finished fourth with Priam du Roset (by Plot Blue). They jumped a very fast round (38.55 seconds) but knocked one fence down. Christophe Vanderhasselt was the best Belgian in fifth place. He rode Cana van de Blom (by Kashmir van Schuttershof) to the finish in 39.53 seconds but also got one penalty for jumping.
