In St. Tropez the first round of the Global Champions League has been completed. It was a 1m55 class against the clock. The victory went to the Stockholm Hearts, the second place was for the Prague Lions.
De Stockholm Hearts were able to win this first round. Both Malin Bayard-Johnsson and the BWP-mare H&M Indiana (v. Kashmir van Schuttershof) as well as Peder Fredricson and Catch Me Not S (v. Cardento 933) remained clear throughout the entire course. Because of that, the time became important as well. As it turned out the Swedish duo had set the fastest time in total. They won this first GCL round in a total time of 138,05 seconds.
The Belgian riders Niels Bruynseels and Pieter Devos of the Prague Lions almost did just as good. Together with the SBS-gelding Delux van T&L (v. Toulon) and MoM's Toupie de la Roque (v. Kannan) they left all the fences up but their total time was just a bit slower. With 141,69 seconds they are currently in second place in the standings.
The Rome Gladiators are currently in third place thanks to Fernando Martinez Sommer and Edward Levy. Fernando had four faults with the KWPN-gelding High Five (v. Glasgow), Edward stayed clear with Rebeca LS (v. HH Rebozo).
