China president gets two horses in Argentina

During an official dinner offered by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in honor of Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to Argentina, two important breeding associations gave horses to President Xi Jinping, as a gift. The Argentine Association to Promote Sport Horses (Asociación Argentina de Fomento Equino/AAFE) gave a Silla Argentino stallion, Remonta Retoque, bred by Remount and Veterinary Command of the Argentinean Army (Dirección de Remonta y Veterinaria del Ejército Argentino) to the president’s wife. While the Argentine Polo Horse Breeders Association (Asociación de Criadores de Caballos de Polo) gave President Xi Jinping, a Polo Argentino mare, Oro Cristal, bred by Santiago Ballester. Dr. Ruben Citara. Vice president of the AAFE and Mr. Ballester of the Polo Horse Breeders Association gave the Chinese President photographs of the horses he will receive at the upcoming China Horse Fair. Dr. Patricio Digilio, Director of the Equine Department of the Argentine Agriculture and Livestock Ministry, was instrumental in arranging the presentation.
