Marcel Rozier (87) is China's new showjumping chef d'équipe

In 1976 France's Marcel Rozier won the Olympic Games, now 87-year-old, the rider has found a new challenge. Rozier is appointed as China's new chef d'equipe with a mandate until the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

First focus event will be the Qualifier Nations Cup event, July 18 in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands. Aim is to qualify for the Games. If not, China will still have the possibility to obtain two individual spots.

In 1976 Rozier won the Golden Team Medal at the Olympic Games in Montréal. Earlier he also acquired the Silver Team medal at the Games in Mexico in 1968.  Lately Rozier guided Abdelkebir Ouaddar and is now ready to train the Chinese Jumping Squad.
