Jumping Mechelen: Hassmann continues winning streak
In Mechelen, the day is slowly reaching its end. One of the last classes for today was the 'KBC Bank & Verzekeringen' prize. This was a 1m50 class with jump-off. 43 combinations entered the show ground for this class and seven om them managed to jump a clear first round. A jump-off with seven combinations therefore had to decide about the winner.

With Niels Bruynseels, Olivier Philippaerts, Jos Verlooy, Zoe Conter and Damien Haelterman the Belgian crowed of course hoped for a Belgian victory.

But in the end two foreign rides beat the Belgian riders. Felix Hassmann, who already won a class earlier today. For this class he saddled the 10-year old Balance (f. Balou du Rouet) who jumped to the finish line in 35,53 seconds. The second place went to Harrie Smolders. He and Zinius (f. Nabab de Reve) cleared the course in 36,13 seconds.

The best Belgian rider was Niels Bruynseels. With the 11-year old mare Angel van T Hof (f. Chin Chin) under the saddle, he finished in 38,05 seconds. The French rider Simon Delestre ended on fourth place with Teavanta II C Z (f. Treasure). Max Kühner and PSG Future (f. Cash and Carry) ended on fifth place.
