On the first day of the FEI Nations Cup Eventing in Fontainebleau dressage was the main discipline on the agenda. This morning it were the CCI*-riders that could show what they're worth while the CIC*-riders had to wait until the afternoon. It was the French rder Bertrand Vuatoux with Quirikou Bougaux (s. Jaguar Mail) who triumphed with a score of 68,96%, leading with a fault-range of 46,6 points. Belgian Sara Broekaert followed on the back of her 9-year-old Esteban XX-mare, Ms Estee. With a score of 68,75% she almost closed the gap, bringing her on a penalty points total of 46,9 points. Sebastian Cavaillon scored a third place with Sarah d'Argouges (s. Quite Easy), collecting 67,92%. Niels Boucault (France) ended fourth with Qurt de Montplaisir (s. Linaro).
In the CCI1* dressage course victory was for the Olympic Champion Michael Jung, putting Germany immediately on top of the interim ranking. With the 8-year-old Nobilis 18 (s. Nobre XX) Jung scored a total of 74,59% placing him in the lead with a total of 38,1 penalty points. Also the second place was for the German top-eventer, this time with Ricona FST (s. Ituango XX), scoring 70,63%. French eventer Mathieu Lemoine and Safran du Pin (s. Griot de Mara) made it to the third place.
