Hannes Ahlmann takes victory in 5* 1.40m Helsinki

Besides a lot of national classes this morning in Helsinki, the first 5* class of the day was also held. The winner of this 1.40m class was the German Hannes Ahlmann together with the 8-year-old black mare Diara (Diacontinus).

Ahlmann and the Hanoverian mare completed two clear rounds with a final time of 25.32 seconds, which was half a second faster than the rest of the pack. The Norwegian Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen sent Ambrosio d'Alcy to silver, ahead of the British Robert Withaker with the 9-year-old stallion Vermento (Argento).

Just outside the podium, Susanna Granroth scored a fourth place in front of her own audience on the back of the BWP mare l'Espoir van Dorperheide (Silverstar T). The Dutchman Bart Lips closed the top five with Davinci Z (Dutch Capitol Z).
