While the anticipation builds for the start of the first round of the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona, some riders already brought their horses out of the stables for the RCPB Trophy. Hans-Dieter Dreher guided Vestmalle des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet) to victory in the 1.45m course.
With the eight-year-old BWP offspring of Sea Coast Don't Touch Tiji Hero Z, Belgian Gilles Thomas (BEL) delivered a fast second phase in a time of 32.43 seconds. Only the time of Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Vestmalle des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet) was better, as they completed it flawlessly in 31.50 seconds. The top three was rounded out by Jur Vrieling (NED) and the sBs horse Griffin van de Heffinck (Castelino van de Helle).
For Janika Sprunger (SUI) and Kinmar Scarlett (Akarad Hero Z) there was fourth place. On five there was Giampiero Garofalo (ITA) and Jorisca (Dantos).
