Isabell Werth finished second after 82.030% appeared on the board for her Freestyle with DSP Quantaz (by Quaterback). The duo missed some points with a rather slow start and dropped small stitches in the changes. Although the rider could not count on a win, she still seemed extremely set up with her performance. The German podium was completed by Benjamin Werndl who scored 81.885% on Daily Mirror (by Damon Hill).
Frederic Wandres was the first to get the German audience on their couches for his excellent freestyle with the Bordeaux son Bluetooth, which did cost him some points in the last line (when they literally stood clapping along). Piaffe pirouette and transitions to passage were highlights, as was the canter tour: 81.58% and fourth. Dorothee Schneider and Faustus (by Falsterbo) signed for fifth place with 80.29%.
